Mr. Kalidas Shinde
Kalidas Shinde is a Research Scholar at the Tata
Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), School of Social Work in India. He
is an academician and Denotified and Nomadic Tribes Activist. He has
completed his research work on ‘Ethnographic study of Denotified and
Nomadic Tribes in Maharashtra: A Case of Davari Jogi/Nath Panthi Davari
Gosavi. He also works as a President of Denotified and Nomadic Tribes
(DNT’s) at West Maharashtra. He is founding president of Akshardhara
public trust. He has published in various articles in regional languages
covering a wide range of topics, including issues of Denotified and
Nomadic Tribes in India. His research areas include on pastoral Nomads,
livelihood, human rights of DNT’s, Nomadism, Development issues, social
anthropology, and Asiatic Study. He is first learner from the Denotified
and Nomadic Tribes community, pursuing his research work in TISS.
