1841 to 1847 Primary education(English) in Missionary School.

1848 Humiliation at marriage procession of upper caste friend.

1848 Started school for girls of shudra and atishudra.

1849 Left home with wife because of oath taken to educate the Shudras.

Narendra Jadhav

Narendra Jadhav is an Indian bureaucrat. He is presently a member of Planning Commission of India.

Dr. Narendra Jadhav, an Indian national (born in 1953) is a leading educationist, eminent economist & policy maker, well-known social scientist and best-selling author. Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has called Dr. Jadhav, “a role-model for the disempowered millions in our country.”

Dr. Narendra Jadhav is currently serving as a Member, Planning Commission (in the rank and status of Union Minister of State). He took over this responsibility on June 16, 2009 and was sworn in by the Prime Minister on July 27, 2009.

As Member, Planning Commission, Dr. Jadhav’s sectoral responsibilities include Education, Labour-Employment-Skill Development, Sports & Youth Affairs, and Social Justice and Empowerment. In addition, Dr. Jadhav looks after the States of Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and Goa, besides the Union Territories of Diu-Daman and Dadra-Nagar Haveli.

Dr. Narendra Jadhav has also been appointed as a Member, National Advisory Council (NAC), chaired by Smt. Sonia Gandhi, with effect from May 31, 2010

Kancha Ilaiah

Kancha Ilaiah (5 October 1952) is an Indian activist and writer. His books include Why I am not a Hindu, God As Political Philosopher: Budha's challenge to Brahminism, A Hollow Shell, The State and Repressive Culture, Manatatwam (in Telugu), and Buffalo Nationalism: A Critique of Spiritual Fascism.

Procedure to obtain Caste Certificate

How to make an application: Application is to be made in the prescribed Proforma Affix Court fee stamp of Rs.5/- on the application
Documents are to be enclosed with the application:
a) Each of the following document, wherein caste is mentioned (original with an attested copy)
- School leaving certificate or extract of birth certificate or the copy of the first page of the service book, where the applicant is a Govt./Semi Govt. servant
- School leaving certificate or extract of birth certificate or the copy of the first page of the service book of the grand father, father, paternal uncle or aunt (the last evidence is acceptable if the relatives mentioned are Govt./Semi-Govt. Employees

b) The following evidence to prove the ordinary residence

- Attested copies of the first and the last page of the Ration Card or
- Attested copy of the electricity bill or
- Attested copy of the extract of the electoral roll or
- Attested copy of the rent receipt

The applicant or his father /grand father should be the ordinary residence of Mumbai City on the following dates :-

i)	For S.C./S.T.	10.8.1950
ii)	For Vimukta Jatis& Nomadic Tribes	21.11.1961
iii)	For O.B.C.	13.10.1967
iv)	For Bhandari	24.4.1971
v)	For Vaishwani	12.10.1976

C) In case of the applicant, who is a married woman :-

7. An evidence from the (1)above, to prove her caste, to which she belonged, before marriage

8. Attested copy of the marriage certificate or marriage Invitation Card

9. Attested copy of the extract of the Govt. Gazette wherein her change of name, after marriage is published.

D) Affidavit executed before the Metropolitan Magistrate or Notary on the stamp paper of Rs.20/- (The Affidavit should incorporate all the details of the proofs submitted

e) In case of the applicant migrated from other states/districts, the caste certificate issued by that Competent authority to his father/grand father

The government is unable to address the issues of Nomadic Tribes of Maharashtra. The above picture is about Nandiwale a Nomadic Community of Maharashtra traveling through out Maharashtra for survival.
